Privacy Policy

Effective

The short version: this site doesn't track you. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. The only personal information I get is what you choose to send me by email.

Who runs this site

giovanniabreu.com (the "site") is a personal website run by Luis Giovanni Abreu-Morrobel (Giovanni Abreu), called "I" or "me" below. This policy covers the site and the email you send me from it. It doesn't cover other websites the site links to.

What the site collects

Nothing directly. The site is a few static pages. It has no accounts, forms, comments, or payments. It doesn't load analytics, advertising, social media widgets, embedded videos, web fonts, or any other third-party scripts or embeds. Every image and style on the site is served from this domain.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies and doesn't use local storage, session storage, or any similar browser storage. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to agree to. Sites you visit from links here may use their own cookies under their own policies.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel automatically records basic technical details when your browser requests a page: your IP address and the approximate location it suggests, your browser and device type (the user agent), the page requested, and the time of the request. Vercel uses these logs to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse, and keeps them under its own retention settings. I don't add analytics on top of them, and I don't use them to track or profile visitors.

Vercel describes how it handles this information in its Privacy Notice.

Email

If you write to me at hello@giovanniabreu.com, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use it to read and reply to your message and to keep a record of our conversation. I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't sell your information or share it with anyone, except the email provider that delivers and stores my mail, or when the law requires it.

Please don't send passwords, financial details, government ID numbers, or health information by email.

How long I keep it

I keep email for as long as it's useful for our conversation and my records, then delete it. Vercel keeps server logs under its own settings.

The site links to LinkedIn, GitHub, Karaya Group, Openly Useful, and GloatRoom. When you follow a link, you leave this site and that site's own privacy policy applies. Karaya Group, Openly Useful, and GloatRoom are separate projects with their own policies.

Your privacy rights and choices

You can ask me what information I have about you (in practice, any email you sent me), ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to hello@giovanniabreu.com and I'll reply as soon as I can, and within any deadline the law sets. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

I don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.

Children

The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
